If it stays in there longer than that, it will get really soggy and fall apart. We have family coming into town and they are going to be watching our son while we go out. I'd love to have a meal ready for them when they come and we have enough other stuff to worry about right around that time and would rather not have to cook right before they get here.N.Hansenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15138497494300068193noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2253592288085984287.post-27850923080884009382014-02-03T12:01:33.540-06:002014-02-03T12:01:33.540-06:00Hi Shay,

Just a tip to your readers I froze my tortellini because i was not sure when i was going to make this and did not want them to go bad. One package i defrosted and the other i just added it frozen to the soup. The frozen one held up so much better, the thawed one became too gummy (like when pasta is way overcooked). Anyways it tastes even better two days later!!! My kids are picky about tomato based food, so they really didnt care for this one. Weirdos I tell you. I will be making this again and again, very very good.
